Volunteering

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office recognizes the need for enhanced civilian participation in the functioning of the Sheriff's Office. The Volunteer Services Division maintains a variety of programs designed to assist the Sheriff's Office while enhancing civilian awareness and participation in goals and activities of the Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office has the following volunteer opportunities available:

Community Liaison Volunteer -  Assist the Volunteer Coordinator with community relations and Sheriff's Office events.

Neighborhood Watch Assistant - Assist the Community Outreach Coordinator with the administrative duties of the Neighborhood Watch Program.

Records Assistant - Assist records personnel with maintaining records and reports.

Reserve Deputy Sheriff 

Search and Rescue

Victim Outreach Volunteer - Assist victims of property crimes.
