On Saturday, June 26, 2010, at about 1600 hours, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported single vehicle motor vehicle accident on South Umpqua Road near mile post #19. Deputies located a gray 1995 Toyota pickup approximately 30 feet over an embankment.
One of the vehicle’s occupants identified as Zachary Season was taken by private vehicle to the Bear Market, in an effort to seek medical attention. When emergency services arrived they detemined that his injuries were serious in nature and requested that Season be air lifted to Providence Hospital in Medford. Season was pronounced deceased at Providence Hospital.
Traffic Accident Re-constructionists and detectives responded to the scene for further investigation. The case is currently under investigation.
