On 06-26-10, at about 2030 hours, Douglas County Communications received a report of a disturbance at the residence located at 3707 Willis Creek Road, Winston, Oregon. Tiffany Moline was reported to have shot a firearm at family members during an altercation.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office, along with the Winston Police Department, Oregon State Police and Roseburg Police Department responded to the residence. Initially the family members were being pinned down with gunfire by Moline, who was actively shooting a handgun.
Moline was contacted by responding law enforcement officers by phone, and agreed to allow the family members to leave the area. All family members were safely removed from the area. Moline retreated into the residence.
Tiffany Moline initially refused to surrender to the police. Communication with Moline was established and after about 20 minutes, she exited the residence and surrendered to the police without any further incident.
Alcohol was determined to be a factor in this incident.
Tiffany Moline was initially arrested on numerous charges, including Menacing, Pointing a Firearm at Another, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. More charges may be filed at a later time.
Tiffany Moline was lodged at the Douglas County Jail.
