Deceased: Glover, Raymond Howard / 59 yoa / Reedsport, OR
Raymond Glover, the missing Reedport man, was found deceased today. He was found inside the cab of his vehicle in Smith River.
Yesterday afternoon, a family friend reported finding debris indicating a vehicle accident near mile post 9 on Lower Smith River Road. Deputies checked the area and the U.S. Coast Guard checked the river but nothing was located.
Today at about 1200 hours, a Sheriff's Office dive team located Glover and his 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee in Smith River. Glover and the vehicle were in about 15 feet of water about 100 feet downstream from where the accident occurred.
There are no signs of foul play and the incident is being investigated as an accident, the cause of which is unknown.
Next of kin has been notified.
