Subject: Death Investigation - Infant Drowning

The Sheriff's Office is investigating the drowning death of a 10 month old girl. On Friday, November 20th, at about 1030 hours, the 911 center received a call from the child's mother stating the child had drowned and she was performing CPR.
Investigators were told by the parents that the child was in the bathtub with her 3 year old brother. The children were left unattended for a few minutes. The child was found unresponsive by the parents after being alerted by the 3 year old.
Medical personnel arrived on scene and transported the child to Mercy Medical Center however attempts at resuscitation were not successful.
Sheriff's detectives are continuing the investigation.
