Arrested: Varnum, Nicholas James / 24 yoa / Roseburg, OR
On the evening of November 23rd, the Sheriff's Office received information as to the possible whereabouts of Nicholas Varnum. Varnum was wanted on a felony Parole Violation warrant.
At about 2355 hours, Sheriff's Deputies responded to a residence in the 400 block of Quail Lane in Roseburg. Varnum was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the county jail.
Besides the Parole Violation, Varnum was charged with First Degree Burglary, First Degree Theft and Second Degree Criminal Mischief.
On November 22nd, deputies investigated a burglary in the 100 block of Village Drive in Roseburg. The victim reported forced entry into the residence and property missing including a computer and some tools. Some of this property was located in the residence where Varnum was taken into custody.
The case is still under investigation.
