On October 27, 2009, the Sutherlin Police Department requested the Douglas County Major Crimes Team conduct a review of a use of force incident involving Officer Jay Huskey’s use of a TASER.
The Major Crimes Team has completed a review of the incident. The Major Crimes Team has determined that Officer Huskey’s use of force was appropriate and justifiable.
The review will be forwarded to Chief Mahler of the Sutherlin Police Department. This will conclude the Major Crimes Team involvement in this incident.
