On Thursday, October 15th, 2009, at about 1050 hours, Douglas County Communications received a report of a female that had been stabbed, who was in the area of Carnes Road and Castle Street, in the Green District.
Arriving Deputies found Tiffany Walker, DOB 05-01-85, in the area. Tiffany Walker had multiple stab wounds, and was transported to Mercy Medical Center, where she was being treated for her injuries. Her condition is unknown at this time.
Deputies conducted an investigation and found that Walker and a group of several friends had become involved in an altercation with Karina Sherman near the intersection of Castle Street and Bourne Street, in the Green District. During the altercation, Karina Sherman stabbed Tiffany Walker. Karina Sherman returned to her residence and was located there by responding Deputies, after also calling 911.
Karina Sherman was interviewed by Detectives and later arrested. She was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on charges of Attempted Murder and Assault I.
