The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is looking for adventurous individuals who enjoy the outdoors and like helping others. We are recruiting for ground search, 4X4 support team members as well as youth (14 years and older) interested in being part of our Explorer SAR team. This volunteer program provides essential Search and Rescue (SAR) services throughout Douglas County.
Persons interested in volunteering for the program must be able to attend related training. There is no cost for the program and all training is provided free.
The first training session of the year will be Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 7 PM in the Sheriff’s Office Conference Room located in room 210 of the Justice Building in Roseburg.
