Deceased: Borg, Lynn R / 90 yoa male / Roseburg, OR
On Monday, September 14th, at about 0700 hours, 90 year old Roseburg resident Lynn Borg left his home on Cedrus Lane intending to drive to Henry's Donut shop on Garden Valley Road. Borg never arrived at the destination and has not been heard from since.
On Friday, September 18th, the Sheriff's Office received a tip from a Florence resident who said they saw Borg on Monday, September 14th driving near the end of Nonpareil Road in Sutherlin. They reported that Borg was asking for directions back to Garden Valley Road. The tipster reported this information after they saw a news story about Borg.
Last night at about 1845 hours, deputies located Borg's unoccupied vehicle on Weyerhaeuser property at the end of Nonpareil Road, about 20 miles east of Sutherlin. A ground search was conducted that included Search and Rescue units and several K-9's. The search was suspended last night at about 2330 hours due to darkness.
This morning the search continued and Lynn Borg was located at about 0930 hours. Mr. Borg was deceased. He was located about 200 yards away from where his vehicle was found. There are no signs of foul play.
There will not be any further information released on this incident this weekend.
