Property Release

Property may be held by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office for a variety of reasons including:

  • Found property
  • Recovered stolen property
  • Property seized as evidence
  • Property held for safe keeping

Property that is available for release, can only be released by appointment.  The property and evidence officer works Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. 

Please call Cheryl Oelrich at (541) 440-4460 to schedule an appointment.  The property and evidence officer works out of several locations, so if she is not in, leave a message for a return call including a telephone number where you can be reached.  Providing information such as a case number, or date and time of incident will be extremely helpful.
